Health has become a topic of great relevance in today's context, for this it is enough to take a look at national statistics such as the National Survey of Living Conditions-ENCOVI or the National Survey of Maternal and Child Health-ENSMI more recent, to understand the difficult situation that thousands of Guatemalan families go through every day.
Accordingly, CANIGUATEMALA has shown great interest since its inception in being a support entity for the growing problem that attacks the health of the Guatemalan population.
In this sense, the food and nutrition program focuses on the generation of actions that allow mitigating problems that children belonging to institutional programs may present in their educational processes, such as: tiredness, fatigue, loss of attention, low interest, etc.
produced by the deficit of calories and nutrients from the food diet that they have in their home. Starting from the aforementioned as a starting point, two primary actions are taken: the promotion and sale of daily consumption or food products, an action aimed at parents, in order to offer products at an affordable cost, thereby it is hoped that girls, boys and their families can access a better diet rich in nutrients. And the cafeteria area, an action that aims to complement the food diet of the students.
