The project arose from the idea, to drawing and painting workshops for children and youth in the facilities of our organization, where the demand for children was very high, then there is a need to set up a School of Drawing and Painting, and Antigua Guatemala currently does not have any center of the class nor public or private.
Currently with the School of Drawing and Painting with support from the Ministry of Culture and Sports, is focused on Promoting Conservation of Cultural Heritage. The drawing and painting classes currently taught, painters Amiguenos, these classes are supported by the Directorate General DIGEEEX Extra School which is part of the Ministry of Education, in 2005 signed a cooperation agreement with this inter-governmental organization.
Objectives
General:
We intend to contribute to society and people specialized in developing artistic talent in drawing and painting, and keep that they can obtain both personally and for the city.
Specific:
Programming in certain periods the use of facilities for temporary exhibitions of works of art.
Offer courses, conferences, exhibitions, workshops etc. children and young people and people interested in developing their skills in art and culture of Guatemala.
Targeting and contacting public or private institutions, national or international, to create a fund to promote trade, riding events and promote scholarship opportunities for our students.
